Five Dutch branch organizations (ABU, Cedris, NRTO, OVAL and Summum.nu) have asked politicians to come up with an integral approach of the labour market. They call for concrete measures to be taken. All employees should have the same basic securities regarding professional education and life long learning, disability and pension. Life long learning needs to be the new standard for everybody whether one is employed or not. A personal budget for training and development could facilitate this. Apart from this the government needs to create new opportunities to experiment using social benefits during labour market entry and education.
